LPR Engine software has been designed for automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) using IP cameras and controllers. Cameras capture clear and sharp image of incoming and outgoing vehicle. Afterwards, license plate no. is extracted from the captured image and relayed back to the main server.

Once the no. reaches server, same is validated in the existing database. If the no. matches a record in database, barrier is opened up for entry. Otherwise, the vehicle is denied entry into the parking area. This result in minimum human intervention. Even vehicles travelling at a very high speed cannot escape detection.

Features

System admin and vehicle user are notified in real time (SMS, E-mail) once the license plate is validated in the database for authentication.

Without any hardware trigger, IP cameras efficiently captures images of incoming vehicle. Infrared illuminator ensures images can be captured in night also. Captured image is relayed forward to the controller for validation.

LPR engine can be used as a stand-alone unit or integrated with a master software for automatic operation. When used as a stand- alone unit operation it acts as a master.

License plate no. is extracted from the captured images using OCR (optical character recognition) technology. If the license plate no. has a match in database, the barrier opens up automatically, otherwise the vehicle is denied entry into the premises.

: LPR engine dashboard provides all the essential details for remote monitoring. User can separately view no. of employee vehicle, cab vehicle coming in and going out. For quick comprehension data has been represented in the form of graphs and charts for the last 24 hours and 7 days.

LPR engine IP cameras have been integrated with illumination system for day and night operation without any interruption. Cameras have the capability to capture high contrast images in even direct sunlight.

Manual monitoring has its limitation despite employing trained and dedicated personnel. There is always a small probability of someone sneaking in through the backchannel. However, bypassing state of the art features of LPR Engine is virtually impossible.

User wishing to add any new software for enhancing the features of LPR Engine can do it without any hassle. New applications can be integrated seamlessly.

With LPR Engine installation, efficiency of the system increases dramatically. Manual system are prone to error and requires more than one personnel for smooth management. LPR Engine cuts out the extra flab within a system.

Adoption of vehicle control unit reduces the operational cost considerably. No. of personnel and resources required is minimal since the automated unit performs the bulk of the task. All that is needed is a person in the main control room to ensure smooth operation of the system.
